lehi roundup rodeo

Last night we went to the Lehi Roundup Rodeo! It was Lyza's (and Seth's) very first Rodeo and she did pretty well. She loved all of the horses an even the clown. But during the part of the rodeo that they wrestle the baby cows to the ground (not sure what the official name of it is...sorry Justin) Lyza kept asking me if the "little cows" were ok?

We went to the Rodeo with our good friends Justin and Jessica. Here is a picture of Lyza and their daughter Brooke. You know the firsts words out of Lyza's mouth when she saw Brooke were, "mommy, why don't I have a pink cowgirl hat?"

All of us at the Rodeo! Seth is there I promise...he is relaxing in the little sling.

Ly Ly and mom waiting for the festivities to start.

Justin, Jessica, and the cute little boy Cole.

We had such a fun time...great idea Justin and Jessica! I had never been into the whole Rodeo thing, but it turns out they are a lot of fun. I would recommend it!

just the two of them

There is no one who loves Seth more then his big sister Lyza. She can't wait to see him every morning and if he ever even makes the littlest noise she tells me "Go make sure baby is okay."
She has mastered the art of putting his binky back in his mouth (eek) and wants to be right next to him at all times.

And if mom and dad would allow it...she would have him sleep in her bed all night. But the best part of all, Lyza tells us at least 50 times a day how much she LOVES her little brother. What a great big sister she is!

baby ava

Ava Debra Larsen is here!

After a failed epidural and a LOT of pain (on Shalice's part) Ava is finally here and she is perfect! She weighed 9 pounds 2 ounces and 22 inches long.

Seth and Ava together for their first picture. I am sure they will be great friends and get into tons of trouble together.

How it would be having twins. I can't even imagine having two at one time.

Seth and Ava together again. Get used to the pictures you two...your mom's love taking tons of them. Ava we are so glad you are here. We can't wait to hold you again and give you tons of kisses.

one month

I seriously can't believe that an entire month has flown by since Seth arrived. Well if I think about all of the nights we have been up I guess it has seen like quite a few nights. But it seriously has flown by.
Seth is such a good baby. The word I always think about when I want to describe Seth is peaceful. He brings such a feeling of peace into my world. I can't get enough of him. I love to watch his eyes wander and then find an object. I love the "coo's" he has started say when we tell him to "talk to us."

I can't even imagine my world without him in it. It makes me sad that he has almost grown out of his Newborn size diapers. I want to make him stay small forever.

a little pampering

So we decided to get a little pampering done before Shalice's big day. She is getting induced on Monday and we got a rare chance to get away together.

We got some lunch at Cheesecake Factory and then went and got a manicure and pedicure. I never knew that someone could get "car sick" in the massage chair while getting a pedicure, but my big sis can and did.

We had such a fun time. It never fails that when we are together we laugh until it hurts. The only thing that could have made this day better is if Shar could have been there with us.
This together time had to be cherished. Because with her 5th child coming on Monday and my 2 children this doesn't happen very often.
Love you Shal...best of luck on Monday!

lagoon for a day

Shalice talked us into getting Lagoon Season Passes this year with her family...which we are super excited about. So we ventured out for our first little day at Lagoon. Shalice is about 18 months pregnant and was willing to walk around all day in hopes of going into labor. It was just Shalice and I with all of the kids...no husbands. Here is the traditional picture everyone has to take at the entrance of Lagoon.

No one there to take a picture of Shalice and I...no worries I can take a self portrait for us. I am seriously good at this picture thing! Anyway, here we are.

Here are the 3 little monkeys in line for their first ride.

Here are Halle and Lyza on a ride together...and of course they had to have the pink one.

Driving the cars.

Watching a show

Just hanging out with our cousin Braden in the new Odyssey water ride.

This ride was the best...it is the kids version of the Rocket. The ride shoots you up in the air and then drops you back down several times. Even though it is for the kids, it is still pretty scary.
I rode it with Lyza and I was a bit nervous. Not Lyza...I have never heard such belly laughs come out of a little girl in my life. Each time we dropped the laughs got louder. It was so much fun.

Here is to a fun summer with our cousins at Lagoon.
Thanks Shalice, what a fun idea!
